The story of the Hashmark Ring: 

I am inspired by ancient cultures, and many of the processes and tools I use in the studio are the same ones that have been used by jewelers for centuries. A lot of my tools are analog, which is a refreshing experience in an increasingly digital world. Despite the perception that analog instruments are outdated and inferior, these tools are surprisingly precise; and after all, sailors navigated the world with instruments just like these.

The sparkly hammered texture of this ring is accented by occasional "hashmarks" that represent the engraved demarkations on old-style brass instruments, like the brass calipers used at the jeweler's bench, and antique nautical instruments and scientific devices. These additional facets catch the light for an extra bit of sparkle.
