A gorgeous Regency Period heart locket; the first letter of each stone spells out a secret acrostic message: REGARD- Ruby, Emerald, Garnet, Amethyst, and Diamond. The goldwork to the front is exceptional, featuring stunning applied goldwork with leaf and flower motifs, along with a garnet and emerald set flower to the reverse. Its hinged down one side and opens to reveal a space ready for a photograph or other memento. Beautifully crafted in 18k gold.
